Keeping your EVM collection on Magic Eden up-to-date.

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Keeping your EVM collection on Magic Eden up-to-date has never been easier! If you have an EVM collection listed on Magic Eden and you need to update your collection, you're in the right place.

Magic Eden is a platform for digital collectibles. Magic Eden automatically lists EVM NFT collections. To ensure accurate and up-to-date information about your collection, we will walk you through the process of using Creator Hub to update your listed EVM NFT collection by signing in with the owner wallet.

Log into the Creator Hub

If this is your first time logging in, you will be asked to create and confirm an email address. A verification code will be sent to that email address.

Begin by logging into the Creator Hub using the same email address you used to sign up. If you're not already logged in, do so now: https://creators.magiceden.io/manage (please note that US users will be redirected to https://creators.magiceden.us/manage)

Managing your collection.

Choose the blockchain your collection is on and enter the contract address. Then, click on "Manage Collection".

Once the collection shows up, scroll down to connect the wallet address linked to the smart contract.

Edit the details you want to update and click the "Update" button. Sign the transaction with the owner's wallet to authorize the changes. There will be no transaction fee.

You will need to provide the URL for your collection image. We recommend using a platform such as Web3 Storage to host your image. You can access Web3 Storage at https://console.web3.storage/

Once the transaction is complete, your collection will be automatically updated on Magic Eden.

Why is the "Ownable" feature required?

To ensure that only authorized users can make changes to a contract, we require the "Ownable" feature. This allows us to verify that the user attempting to make modifications is the rightful owner of the contract.

While there is another variant called "Roles", it is not currently supported.

If you are receiving an error related to ownership verification, it means that the contract you are working with does not include the necessary "Ownable" feature. To resolve this issue, please implement the "Ownable" functionality as outlined in the OpenZeppelin documentation. This will allow us to verify that you are the rightful owner of the contract and authorize you to make changes.

By following the steps outlined in this guide, you can easily update your listed EVM collection on Magic Eden. If you have any further questions or need assistance, reach out to Magic Eden's support team for help.
