Important update
Magic Eden no longer supports Monad Testnet.
Magic Eden is commited to support Monad Mainnet from Day 1 instead of continuing Testnet integrations.
Users will no longer see Monad NFTs, wallet balances, or listings on the Testnet environment. These instructions currently remain below for archival purposes only.
If you’re waiting for mainnet launch:
We’ll announce full integration details on Magic Eden Announcements and across official channels when Monad Mainnet goes live.
Archived reference — Monad overview
What is Monad?
Monad is a Layer 1 blockchain built for high performance and full EVM compatibility, allowing developers from Ethereum and other EVM chains to deploy seamlessly.
At the Testnet phase (now closed), Monad showcased:
EVM Compatibility – Supports Ethereum tools, contracts, and wallets.
High Throughput – Up to 10,000 TPS (vs ~15 on Ethereum).
Low Fees – Sub-cent transaction costs.
Fast Block Times – ~1 second finality.
Accessible Hardware Requirements – Efficient node operation.

How Monad worked
Monad used a custom EVM architecture to parallelize transaction execution. It maintained full Ethereum tooling compatibility — so developers could use MetaMask, Hardhat, or Etherscan-style explorers without change.
Adding Monad Testnet to your wallet (deprecated)
Option 1: Via Magic Eden (legacy integration)
Option 2: Manual Setup (MetaMask example)
Network Name: Monad Testnet Network URL: https://testnet-rpc.monad.xyz Chain ID: 10143 Currency Symbol: MON Block Explorer: https://testnet.monadexplorer.com/
Note: Monad is not currently supported in the Magic Eden Wallet.
Wrapped Monad (wMON) reference (deprecated)
Contract Address: 0x760AfE86e5de5fa0Ee542fc7B7B713e1c5425701
Legacy users could unwrap wMON to MON via testnet swap platforms or directly through the contract’s withdraw(uint256 amount) function.
This functionality is no longer active on Magic Eden.
