Seamlessly move your BRC-20 tokens: Transfer with ease!

Updated over a week ago

If you want to transfer your BRC-20 tokens to another wallet, you need to create a "transferrable inscription" similar to when you list BRC-20 tokens for sale. This guide will walk you through the steps to make your BRC-20 tokens transferable.

Accessing the BRC-20 Transfer Modal

  • Go to the Magic Eden homepage and click on the "Inscribe" icon located at the top right of the screen next to your wallet address.

  • Click on the "BRC-20 Transfer" tab.

Select your BRC-20 token

  • In the first drop-down menu, you will find a list of all the BRC-20 tokens in your wallet. Select the token you wish to transfer.

Create your transfer inscription

  • Choose the number of tokens you want to make transferable. For instance, if you want to send two BRC-20 tokens in a single transfer, set the "Amount" to 2.

  • Specify the quantity of inscriptions you need. Suppose you want to send two BRC-20 tokens to three separate wallets. In that case, you would need to create three transferable inscriptions. Thus, you should enter 3 in the "Quantity to Inscribe" box.

  • Click the "Next" button, which will take you to the fee selector. Here, you can choose the network fee from options like "Low," "Medium," or "High." Each option will display an estimated cost.

  • Once you have selected the fee that you are comfortable with, click the "Inscribe" button. Confirm the transaction in your wallet.

  • You will then receive the links for your transfer inscription transactions. Keep in mind that it may take some time for them to confirm on the Bitcoin blockchain.

View transfer inscription in your wallet

  • After the transactions are confirmed, go to your wallet. For this example, we will use the Xverse wallet.

  • In your Xverse wallet, you will see the newly created transfer inscription. When you click on it, the status will be set as "Valid," indicating that the BRC20 tokens can be sent to another wallet.

  • You can now send the tokens directly to another wallet using the send function from within the wallet.

These examples are specific to Xverse wallet, please to refer to other wallet providers for more detailed information.

Important Note:
Make sure you are sending the tokens to an Ordinals address, specifically a Taproot address capable of receiving Ordinals and BRC-20 tokens.

As you have created transferable inscriptions, you are able to now list these tokens.
