How to add a new account to your Magic Eden Wallet

Access the account menu

  • Open your Magic Eden Wallet and click the ME logo in the top left-hand corner, next to your account name.

  • Here, you'll see your active accounts and their associated holdings.

Add another account

  • Click the "Add Another Account" button at the bottom of the wallet.

Selecting your account type

Magic Eden Wallet offers three options for adding a new account:

Add a software account

  • Generates a new set of addresses on an existing recovery phrase.

  • Click "Add Software Account," enter a portfolio name, and click OK. Your new account will appear in the accounts menu under the wallet's recovery phrase.

  • If you already have multiple recovery phrase groups, you will need to select which group the new account will belong to.

Magic Eden Wallet currently auto-imports up to 10 accounts. To access additional accounts, you'll need to manually add software accounts to your Recovery Phrase until you reach the desired address.

Add a Ledger account

  • Connects ME wallet to an account on a Ledger hardware wallet.

  • Click "Add Ledger Account," follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Ledger device.

  • Select the account you want to connect. These will vary depending on what application you have open on your Ledger.

  • After successful connection identified by the confirmation screen, your Ledger account will appear in a section named "Recovery Phrase x."

Import a recovery phrase

  • This option allows you to add accounts from the recovery phrase of another wallet backup.

Entering your recovery phrase

  • You will be directed to a screen where you can enter or paste your 12-word or 24-word secret recovery phrase.

  • Ensure each word is separated by a single space. Use the Paste button if your phrase is copied from another source.

Detecting funded accounts

  • After entering your recovery phrase, the app will automatically scan for funded accounts associated with your seed phrase.

  • A "Loading funded accounts…" screen will appear with an animated mascot. Keep the app open during this process.

Reviewing funded accounts

  • Once scanning is complete, the app will display a list of funded accounts detected.

  • Dropdown Filter: Use the dropdown menu to filter accounts by wallet provider (e.g., Magic Eden, Phantom, Solflare, Xverse, Metamask, etc.).

  • Review balances and associated assets across each account.

Selecting accounts to import

  • If the wallet contains multiple accounts:

    • Toggle through and select the accounts you wish to import.

    • If any addresses are missing, you can add software accounts to the recovery phrase later.
