Magic Eden now supports the Metaplex Certified Collection (MCC) Standard on our marketplace.

Q: What is MCC?

Magic Eden now supports the Metaplex Certified Collection (MCC) Standard on our marketplace. MCC is a new collection standard for all NFTs minting with Candy Machine V2 (CMv2). It allows marketplaces and creators to certify that an NFT belongs to a specific collection through information stored on-chain.

You can read more from Metaplex's website.

Q: I'm a creator. How could I start using MCC?

  1. Existing collection owners can choose to migrate their collection and adopt the Metaplex Certified Collection Standard using Magic Eden's Creator Hub.

  2. Every new creator who mints their collection on CMv2 will automatically be certified by the new Metaplex Standard.

Q: I'm a creator. What would this mean for me and my collection?

Magic Eden allows NFTs certified using the MCC Standard to be instantly tradable, without the need for any review by our team. For those that are not reviewed by our team, they:

  • Will not be discoverable on our homepage or searchable on Magic Eden

  • Will only be accessible through a direct URL link

  • Will include warnings and disclaimers for traders to DYOR

Q: But I don't want my collection to be instantly tradeable on ME. Could I block instant tradeability until, say, the mint closes?

Because of the way Metaplex set up MCC, as soon as a collection NFT is verified, any NFT minted on CMv2 within that same collection becomes instantly tradeable on Magic Eden.

Q: My collection is now tradeable on Magic Eden. How do I remove warnings on my collection page?

It's easy! Creators who wish to remove warnings (and be searchable and discoverable) are required to make a listing application through our Creator Hub which would allow the Magic Eden team to review your listing.

Once your listing application gets reviewed and approved, your collection:

  • Can be featured on our homepage and searchable on Magic Eden

  • Will no longer display warnings and disclaimers that it has not been reviewed by Magic Eden

  • Will have its own custom URL

Q: I minted my collection pre-MCC. How will I be affected?

Creators who have minted on an older Metaplex collection standard will not be affected and NFTs minted will operate as normal.

Q: How do I get an instantly tradable link to share with my community?

After submitting a listing through the Creator Hub that opts in for the Metaplex Certified Collection standard and once all details have been submitted, the creator will receive a direct link at the final step of the application process. You can share this link to your community!

Q: How do I find the collection NFT public key?

Creators can get this address from their wallet. When using candy machine, creators have to specify the collection NFT public key in the candy machine CLI. Every collection that mints using CMv2 will by default also be MCC-certified.

Q: What happens after my MCC collection is approved by the Magic Eden team?

Your old "instantly tradeable" collection page will redirect to your new collection page. This new collection page will, as above, be searchable, discoverable, have a custom URL and have no more warnings.
