Wallet Deprecation Timeline
Both the Magic Eden Wallet and Account Wallets will no longer be supported after April 1, 2026.
Now – March 13: Full Functionality Available
Until March 13, 2026, the wallet will continue operating normally.
You can:
Swap tokens
Consolidate tokens
Perform cross-chain swaps to prepare for migration
Export your private key at any time
If you plan to swap or consolidate assets before migrating, we strongly recommend doing so before March 13.
March 13: Withdrawal & Export-Only Mode
Starting March 13, the wallet will switch to withdrawal/export-only mode.
All swap features will be disabled
Cross-chain swaps will no longer be available
You will only be able to export your private key
If you intend to swap or consolidate assets before migrating, please do so before March 13.
April 1: Removed from App Store
On April 1, 2026:
The Magic Eden Wallet app will be removed from the App Store
The wallet will no longer be supported or available for download
If you already have the Magic Eden Wallet browser extension or mobile app installed, you will still be able to access your wallet locally to export your private key after April 1.
However, we strongly recommend completing your migration before this date to avoid disruption.
May 1: Complete Shutdown
A full shutdown of wallet services is currently planned for May 1, 2026.
After this date, the wallet may no longer function — even if previously installed. Users who have not exported their private key by then may permanently lose access.
To avoid any risk, please complete your migration as soon as possible.
Please note: If you already have the Magic Eden Wallet browser extension or mobile app installed, you will still be able to access your wallet locally to export your private key after April 1. However, the wallet will no longer be supported or available for download, so we strongly recommend completing your migration before this date.
Who needs to take action?
You should read this guide if you:
Use the Magic Eden Wallet browser extension or mobile app
Created an Account Wallet through the Magic Eden website
Have funds or collectibles stored in either wallet type
If you’re unsure, we recommend completing the migration steps early to avoid any last-minute issues.
What do I need to do?
To maintain uninterrupted access to your assets, you must:
Export your Magic Eden Wallet private key
Import it into another compatible wallet provider
Verify access to your funds and collectibles before April 1. While you may still be able to export your private key after this date if the wallet is already installed, we strongly recommend completing migration early to avoid any disruption.
How do I export my Magic Eden Wallet?
Before April 1, you’ll see a message inside your Magic Eden Wallet with instructions on how to export your wallet.
You’ll be exporting your private key (not a recovery seed phrase). This allows you to import your wallet into another provider and continue using the same wallet address and assets.
We’ve created a step-by-step guide to walk you through the process here:
⚠️ Important: Your private key gives full access to your wallet. Keep it secure and never share it with anyone.
How do I export my Account Wallet?
If you created an Account Wallet directly on the Magic Eden website (an embedded wallet), you will also need to export its private key before April 1.
This ensures you can migrate the wallet to another provider and continue accessing your assets after support ends.
Follow our step-by-step guide here:
⚠️ Important: Your private key gives full control of your wallet. Store it securely and never share it with anyone.
What wallets can I migrate to?
Magic Eden does not provide official wallet recommendations.
However, most major Solana-compatible wallets allow users to import an existing private key. You should choose a wallet provider that best fits your needs.
What Happens If I Don’t Migrate?
If you do not export your private key before May 1:
The wallet may no longer function
Magic Eden will not be able to recover your private key
You may permanently lose access to assets stored in that wallet
We strongly recommend completing migration as soon as possible.
Will Magic Eden provide customer support for wallet migration?
Unfortunately our support will be limited.
Magic Eden will provide guidance through Help Center documentation and in-wallet messaging, but users are ultimately responsible for exporting and securing their private keys before the shutdown date.
Where can I get updates?
We will continue to share updates through:
Official Magic Eden announcements
Help Center articles
In-wallet notifications
If you have questions not addressed here, please contact Magic Eden Support before April 1.
