Ledger is currently only available to connect on the Magic Eden browser extension app, not the Magic Eden mobile app.

In this article, we guide you through the steps to connect your Ledger device to Magic Eden Wallet.

Connect your Ledger device

Begin by connecting your Ledger hardware wallet to your computer using a USB cable. Ensure you have everything you need, including a stable connection and a compatible USB port.

Install the Ledger Live app

Download and install the Ledger Live app on your computer. This application allows you to manage your Ledger device, check its status, and install necessary firmware updates.

We currently only support Ledger import via browser extension. Stay tuned for future updates as we work to expand our offerings.

Unlock your Ledger device

Once your Ledger device is connected, unlock it using your PIN code. This will allow you to access the functions and settings within the Ledger Live app.

Ensure Ledger firmware is up to date

In Ledger Live, navigate to the settings menu and check for any available firmware updates. Keeping your Ledger device updated is crucial for security and compatibility with Magic Eden Wallet. Follow the prompts to install any updates if required.

Install supported apps on your Ledger device

Magic Eden Wallet supports multiple blockchains. To ensure compatibility, install the necessary apps on your Ledger device through Ledger Live. Supported blockchains include:

  • Bitcoin: Ideal for Bitcoin-based Ordinals and transactions.

  • Ethereum: Commonly used for a variety of NFTs and smart contracts.

  • Polygon: An Ethereum-compatible chain with lower fees.

  • Solana: Known for high-speed and low-cost transactions.

Select and install the apps corresponding to the blockchains you plan to use with Magic Eden Wallet.

Once your Ledger device is connected, up to date, and equipped with the necessary apps, you are ready to use it with Magic Eden Wallet.

We strongly recommend setting up your Ledger following the official instructions using Ledger Live. Currently, we only support the first address on accounts, but we are continuously working to improve our Ledger integration.

Adding a Ledger account

  • Make sure your Ledger is still unlocked. Open the appropriate app on the Ledger for the network you wish to import into Magic Eden Wallet (Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin).

  • Navigate to the Accounts page in the Magic Eden wallet

  • Click the "Add Another Account" button

  • Select "Ledger Account" and follow the on-screen instructions to connect your Ledger device.

  • Select the Ledger device you want to connect to and press "Connect".

  • Select the account you want to import. This will vary depending on which network app you have open on your Ledger (Solana, Ethereum, Bitcoin).

  • After successful connection identified by the confirmation screen, your Ledger account will appear in the Accounts page under "Recovery Phrase X".
