This guide will take you through the steps to address and resolve network or connection issues for your Magic Eden Wallet.

What network issues mean

Your Magic Eden Wallet depends heavily on a seamless internet connection to pull information regarding your crypto assets from blockchain networks. When there's an issue with your connection:

  • Your wallet may display wrong balances or not show some transactions.

  • The ability to send funds might be impacted.

Various factors can lead to these network or connection discrepancies. Let's delve into some commonly recommended solutions for these issues.

Steps to troubleshoot your network

Pre-requisite

Ensure that you've safely noted down your 12-word secret recovery phrase. Having this phrase on hand is crucial; without it, should you lose access to your wallet, recovery would be unattainable.

Follow these steps to address network or connection issues:

Update your wallet

Before attempting any other solutions, make sure you're running the latest version of Magic Eden Wallet. Keep your software up-to-date to avoid many common problems.

Restart your device

A simple reboot of your device can sometimes solve connection problems. Close Magic Eden Wallet, restart your device, and then open the wallet again to see if the issue persists.

Check your internet connection

Restart both your internet router and modem. This can often resolve standard connection problems.

Experiment with a different internet source. This could be an alternate WiFi network or a mobile data connection. For those on a desktop, consider creating an internet hotspot via your mobile device.

Check for external interference

If the Magic Eden Wallet is the sole application facing connection hitches, check if antivirus software, firewalls, VPNs, or any system security settings might be obstructing connections to and from the wallet.

Restoring Magic Eden Wallet

If you're still facing problems, try restoring your Magic Eden Wallet. This requires you to delete your current Magic Eden Wallet and reconnect by inputting your secret recovery phrase.

How to restore your wallet:

  • Click on the Profile tab and select the Settings Icon

  • Select the 'Advanced' button

  • Select the 'Restore Wallet' option

  • You will be presented with a warning saying that your current wallet, including all assets and transaction history will be cleared. A new wallet and 12-word phrase will be created.

  • Enter your Secret Recovery Phrase which you saved during the prerequisite section of this guide.

By following the steps outlined above, you can potentially resolve any network or connection issues. Remember, our team is always here to assist you โ€” your seamless on-chain experience is our priority.
