FAQs

What exactly is Collector Crypt?

Using decentralized tracking, Collector Crypt offers unparalleled security for your prized possessions. Whether you're buying or selling, the platform's globally accessible, temperature-controlled vaults ensure a smooth transaction.

Breaking down the fees:

  • For sellers: A 2% fee, comprising 1% platform transaction and 1% royalties.

  • Redemption: This involves a 2% fee of the card's insured value. Shipping and handling costs are contingent on various factors like location.

  • Storage nuances: The redemption fee aids in supporting vaulting partners. The best part? No ongoing charges for vault storage or insurance!

Tax insights

Given their strategic location in tax-free zones within the US, Collector Crypt doesn't levy taxes on items. Yet, on dispatching items from the vault, additional taxes might apply. Always consult a tax expert for clarity.

Understanding purchases

Every purchase represents a tangible trading card, safeguarded in a fortified vault. This "digital IOU" can be redeemed anytime, or you can hold it, trade it, or even use it as loan collateral.

Storage details

Collectibles are currently stored in renowned US vaults like PWCC in Oregon. Expansion plans involve partnering with global vaults for better accessibility. When submitting a card, you'll be directed to the nearest vault. Details on any card's location can be accessed via 'More Details' on Collector Crypt.

How do I digitize my collectibles:

  • Connect to the marketplace on collectorcrypt.com via Phantom wallet or email login.

  • Click 'Deposit Cards' and follow the instructions.

  • Once verified and stored, a digital token or pNFT representing your card will be issued.

How do I sell my digital collectables?

  1. Connect to Magic Eden's NFT platform.

  2. Navigate to your Collector Crypt collection.

  3. Choose the card you wish to sell and follow the listing steps, as if you were selling a regular NFT!

Which collectibles are accepted?

Primarily, cards graded by PSA, BGS, CGC, SGC, etc. If your card isn't graded by these entities, reach out for guidance.
