Creating Your Account with Email
To get started with your account wallet, follow these steps:
Click Log In in the top right corner of the browser.
A log-in or sign-up modal will appear. Enter your email address.
A 6-digit verification code will be sent to your email. Enter the code to proceed.
If this is your first time logging in via email, you’ll be guided through a welcome flow showcasing your new account wallets. Two wallet addresses will be created:
Solana Wallet
EVM Wallet
Enabling Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
Two-factor authentication can be enabled during the welcome tutorial when the "Add an extra layer of security" screen appears. Click the "Add Authenticator" button, which allows you to select an app to scan the QR code and save authentication.
Once you scan the QR code with the authenticator app, a 6-digit code will appear on the authentication app used.
Enter this code to confirm and link the authenticator app to your account.
After linking, you will see an option to Backup your codes.
Backup codes help recover your account if you lose access to your device.
Each code can be used only once, so be sure to save them securely.
You can also update or manage 2FA settings later by going to Account Settings. There, you'll find a "2FA Settings" tab, where you can:
Add or manage an existing authenticator app.
Generate new backup codes.
⚠️ Losing access to your authentication method or email will result in losing access to your wallet. Ensure your login information is secure and easily accessible.
Accessing Your Account Wallet
Once you've completed the sign-up process, you can navigate to your new account wallets:
Hover over the account icon in the top right of the screen.
This will open the account sidebar, where you can select either Solana or EVM to view their respective wallets.
These wallets will display a pink ME logo and will be labeled Account Wallet. This helps you easily identify them when connecting to Magic Eden with third-party wallet providers such as ME Wallet, Phantom, or MetaMask.
Funding Your Account Wallet
You have two options to fund your account wallet:
Buy Crypto Directly: Select your wallet within the sidebar, then navigate to the Buy tab to top up funds directly on our site via MoonPay.
Transfer from Another Wallet: Click Receive and fund your wallet from another Web3 wallet of your choice.
Sending Funds From Your Account Wallet
To transfer crypto to another wallet:
Click on the Send button in your sidebar.
Set the amount you wish to transfer.
Use an address you already have connected to your ME account, or input a Custom address.
Optional: Adjust your gas/priority fee
Make sure you’re sending the right amount to the correct address and you’re good to Send!
Benefits of the Account Wallet
Using the account wallet on Magic Eden comes with several advantages:
One-Click Transactions: Buy, sell, list, transfer assets, and even send crypto or tokens without needing to confirm multiple pop-ups. Just one click is all it takes!
Seamless Integration: Link your account wallet to your other connected wallets to streamline your Magic Eden profile.
Using Linked Wallets
While you can view assets stored in your other linked wallets, you won’t be able to transact with them unless the corresponding wallet extensions (e.g., Phantom, MetaMask) are enabled..
If you want to transact with linked wallets, ensure their extensions are active.
Revisiting the Account Wallet Tutorial
If you ever need to replay the welcome tutorial, simply:
Open the account sidebar.
Click on Replay Welcome Tutorial.
This will walk you through the setup process again to ensure you're familiar with how your account wallet works.
