Welcome! Ready to maximize your $ME tokens? This guide introduces you to staking and questing. Whether you're new to staking or curious about completing quests, we've got you covered with everything you need to get started.

$ME is powering the onchain economy and represents the most powerful suite of cross chain trading, minting, and wallet protocols. Adopted by Magic Eden as their official token, $ME will represent the largest community of onchain users who will earn $ME for trading all assets on all chains.

The $ME token is available on all leading exchanges and DEXes. If you’ve been using the ME foundation protocols before the 10th of Dec 2024, you may be eligible to claim tokens! Please refer to this guide here to see if you’re eligible.

Going forward, we’re bringing a new way for community members to earn $ME - introducing Staking and Quests.

Staking is a process where you lock up your $ME tokens to help support the ecosystem. In return, you can unlock the ability to earn rewards via quests.

Staking $ME will give users access to Magic Eden Quests, which you can participate in to earn $ME. The amount of $ME staked * the length of the lockup = your staking power. Your staking power will influence your Questing score.

Last of all, all unclaimed $ME from TGE will be distributed to stakers. *Timeline subject to change

There are multiple ways to enter the staking experience via the staking page on the ME Foundation website, or the staking module in the Magic Eden wallet. You can stake $ME with any Solana wallet.

Inside each experience, you will be able to choose how much $ME you would like to stake and the lockup period. Users will be able to stake for a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 4 years (1,460 days). Please note that your tokens will be locked in the contract for the duration of your stake and cannot be withdrawn.

Users will receive exponentially more $ME rewards based on their staking power. More staking power also equates to more voting power, which will give a user more influence in DAO governance proposals. More information can be found in the ME Foundation’s bylaws.

There is no way to release locked tokens from the staking contract. The tokens will unlock when your stake duration is complete.
​

Once your initial amount of $ME is staked, the countdown to your unlock event begins. Any new $ME that you stake will be added, however it will be subject to the existing time left.

If you would like to increase the staking period, you will need to choose a higher number of days for the lockup period when staking the additional $ME tokens

Once you have staked additional $ME, your new staking power will be instantaneous and applied to any future questing activity.

If you have $ME staked across multiple wallets, these can all count towards your staking power. When staking with multiple wallets, your overall staking power will be aggregated.

It is CRUCIAL to make sure that all your wallets that have $ME staked are linked via the ME Foundation wallet linking tool. This is the only way you will get aggregate staking power that applies to your quest activity.

Quests are tasks that users can participate in in order to earn future $ME. At the end of the 90-day period, the $ME allocation available for that phase will be distributed across participants.

There are two types of quests:

To begin, there will be 5 quests that will be announced soon. The quests will involve using both Magic Eden’s desktop platform and mobile app.

Every week you will get a ranking score based on your activity during the period. The higher rank you earn, the higher the eventual payout. Your staking power will ensure you climb the ranks faster when performing quests. For more information on score ranking, please refer to the ranking section below.

Ensure that the wallet you use to complete quests is linked to an actively staking $ME wallet through the Magic Eden Foundation’s linking system. If problems persist, please reach out to the Help Center.

First Quests are set to end 90 days from TGE (the 10th of December).

No, all users, including US users will be able to stake $ME and access quests.

Every week you will get a ranking score based on your activity during the period. The higher rank you earn, the higher the eventual payout.

Your staking power will act as a multiplier for your overall ranking score. These ranks will reset after the conclusion of each Chapter.

The tiers will give you a relative understanding of your ranking score compared to other participants in the current Chapter. This rank can be found in the top right hand corner of your staking & questing page on the Magic Eden or ME Foundation website.

This ranking score is cumulative over time, and will reset at the end of the Chapter.

Your ranking score gives a relative comparison of where you stand compared to other participants in the Chapter.

However, distribution of emissions will be made in a linear payout; this means that you will receive the commensurate amount relative to your exactly position.
