Importing an existing wallet into Magic Eden Wallet is a straightforward process. Whether you're moving from another provider or simply restoring a previously used wallet, Magic Eden Wallet makes it easy to bring in your assets securely. In this guide, we’ll walk you through the steps needed to import your wallet using your recovery phrase, ensuring a smooth and simple setup.

Initiating the import

Start by clicking on the 'I Have A Wallet' button upon opening a fresh install of Magic Eden Wallet. You can also add additional recovery phrases via the 'Accounts' menu.

Entering secret phrase

You will be directed to a screen where you can enter your 12-word secret phrase associated with the wallet you wish to import.

You also have the option to select a 24-word seed phrase. Simply choose this option before importing.

Selecting wallet provider

By default, the wallet is set on 'Auto-Detect', attempting to recognize the source wallet. To ensure accuracy and prevent derivation path importing issues, click on the 'Change' button.

Choosing wallet provider

A list of popular wallet providers such as Xverse, Phantom, and Solflare will be displayed. Select the appropriate wallet you are importing from and click the pink 'Apply' button.

Importing secret phrases from certain wallets is not currently supported. We are working on expanding our compatibility over time.

Managing multiple accounts

If your imported wallet has multiple accounts, ensure to check the box indicating 'This wallet has multiple accounts'. Then proceed to enter your 12-word phrase as usual and click the pink 'Continue' button.

If you've imported your recovery phrase and noticed that not all of your addresses were imported after selecting multiple accounts, try adding a software account to the recovery phrase. This will ensure that all your addresses are included.

Restoring wallet

Once you've provided the necessary information, you will receive a notification that your wallet is being restored. You can safely close the extension while the restoration process takes place.

Importing and integrating wallets

As long as you have selected your previous wallet (the wallet where the seed phrase was generated) and indicated that you have multiple accounts if applicable, the generated addresses will match, allowing you to import seamlessly into the Magic Eden wallet.

For integrations with other wallets, such as exporting the seed phrase or private key to another provider, you will need to follow up with that wallet's support team. They will have a better understanding of their specific derivation paths.

Always exercise caution when entering your 12-word secret phrase and ensure that you are importing from a trusted source.

By following these steps, you can easily import your wallet into Magic Eden Wallet and access your assets seamlessly. If you have any questions or need further assistance, feel free to reach out to our support team via the chat widget. We're here to help you every step of the way.
