Minting open editions in the Magic Eden Wallet is quick and easy. Here's what you need to know for a smooth experience:

Fees for "free" mints

Even with "free" mints, there are still small fees involved. When minting open editions on Solana, expect:

  • Program Fees (Rent)

  • Transaction Fees (Gas)

  • Platform Fees

These fees usually range between 0.02 to 0.04 SOL. Knowing this helps you avoid surprises!

High demand and potential delays

Popular mints can cause delays. While Solana transactions are usually fast, high demand may lead to short wait times for your NFT to appear in your wallet. Don't worry—it’s on its way!

Mint delays or failed transactions

Sometimes, due to network congestion, mints might fail or take longer. If this happens:

  • Don’t panic!

  • Wait a bit and try again.

  • Open editions stay live for a week, so there’s plenty of time to mint.

Unique features of Magic Eden Wallet

With Magic Eden Wallet, you can mint NFTs directly within the app. This makes the process simple and accessible.

How to mint open editions

  • You’ll receive a notification for an open edition mint or claim in the wallet’s banner.

  • Click on the notification.

  • Tap the Claim button and sign the transaction. Remember, there will be small fees.

  • Your NFT will instantly appear in the Collectibles section of your wallet.

  • If you dismiss the claim, you won’t be able to bring it up again. You’ll need to use a new account to access it.
