Creating a wallet

To access the wonders of Magic Eden, you'll need a wallet. We recommend using Magic Eden Wallet, which facilitates collecting NFTs seamlessly across multiple chains.

Remember, never share your wallet's seed phrase with anyone to keep your funds secure.

Buying Polygon NFTs with Magic Eden Wallet

After downloading and installing the Magic Eden Wallet, and ensuring you've securely backed up your seed phrase, you're all set to start collecting Polygon NFTs.

To get started, just click on the 'Connect Wallet' button located in the top-right corner of the Magic Eden interface.

Next, navigate to the 'Polygon' tab and choose the 'Magic Eden Wallet' option.

The Magic Eden Wallet intelligently identifies the blockchain you're operating on and seamlessly connects the relevant address from your wallet, in this case, Polygon.

Swapping Ethereum to Matic using Magic Eden Wallet

Magic Eden Wallet simplifies the process of converting your cryptocurrency to Matic for trading on the Polygon platform.

If you hold other cryptocurrencies such as Solana, Bitcoin, or Ethereum, you can easily utilize the swap function within the wallet.

Here's how:

  • Navigate to the 'Swap' tab within the Magic Eden Wallet.

  • Select the cryptocurrency you wish to swap for Matic.

  • Click on the pink 'Swap' button to initiate the exchange.

  • The swap process is seamless and hassle-free, with the Matic tokens promptly arriving in your wallet

Other ways to convert Ethereum to Polygon

To transact on the Polygon Network, you'll need to convert your Ethereum to Matic.

Follow these steps:

  • Utilize established 'bridges' to convert Ethereum to Polygon

  • If you're bridging ETH, add a small amount of extra ETH to cover gas fees during the bridging process (usually around 0.01 ETH, but having 0.02 ETH is even safer).

Umbria Narni Bridge:

  • Access the Umbria Narni Bridge and select "Bridge Assets" to reach the bridge screen.

  • Connect your wallet with "Ethereum Mainnet" selected in your MetaMask and follow the instructions to send ETH from the Ethereum Network to the Polygon Network.

Polygon Bridge

  • Use Polygon Bridge and click the three dots next to "Add to MetaMask." Your wETH should appear in your MetaMask wallet when Polygon Mainnet is selected.

  • In case this doesn't work, go back to MetaMask, scroll down to "Add Token" on the Polygon Mainnet page, and add the following address: 0x7ceB23fD6bC0adD59E62ac25578270cFf1b9f619.

Cryptocurrency exchanges

Popular cryptocurrency exchanges include https://crypto.com and https://www.binance.com/en.

You can use these exchanges to purchase Matic directly and send it to your wallet you will be connecting to Magic Eden.

Decentralized exchanges for swaps

Popular decentralised exchanges include https://uniswap.org and https://www.sushi.com

Trading on the secondary market

Once you have successfully acquired your cryptocurrency, you can explore the vibrant secondary market on Magic Eden. Here's how:

  • Browse the available listings and select the NFT you're interested in.

  • Ensure you have sufficient funds in your wallet to make the purchase.

  • Follow the platform's instructions to complete the transaction.
