Creating a wallet
First things first, you need a wallet! The two wallets we recommend most:
Be sure to never share your seed phrase to your wallet.
Buying Polygon NFTs with a MetaMask Wallet:
1. Ensure you’re on Polygon Network
2. You will now need to convert Ethereum to transact on the Polygon Network. You can use established 'bridges' to accomplish this.
If you are bridging over ETH, be sure to include a small amount extra to your wallet for gas during the bridging process (.01 is usually enough, but having .02 is even safer).
Sending ETH over this bridge wraps it, converting it WETH. There are multiple ways to do this:
Using Umbria Narni Bridge, select “Bridge Assets”, and you will see the bridge screen.
Connect your wallet with “Ethereum Mainnet” selected at the top of your Metamask and you should see this screen. Send ETH from the Ethereum Network to the Polygon Network.
Using Polygon Bridge, click the three dots to the right of “Add to MetaMask”. Your wETH should now show in your MetaMask wallet when Polygon Mainnet is selected.
If, for some reason this doesn’t work, instead go back to MetaMask, on the Polygon Mainnet page, scroll down to “Add Token”, and add the address: 0x7ceB23fD6bC0adD59E62ac25578270cFf1b9f619
Swap Matic to wETH inside MetaMask
MATIC for Gas:
We suggest two options: buying directly from a centralised exchange or swapping to Matic on a DEX.
