Magic Eden

Magic Eden now supports Spark, a Bitcoin Layer 2 protocol that enables faster, cheaper Bitcoin transactions. With Spark BTC integrated directly into the app, you can easily manage both your regular BTC and Spark BTC from the same interface.

This guide walks through the main actions you can take:

Convert BTC to Spark BTC (and vice versa)

You can seamlessly move between BTC and Spark BTC from the BTC token details page.

Open the BTC token details page in your Portfolio.

You’ll see your balances for both BTC and Spark BTC.

Tap Convert to open the conversion modal.

- BTC → Spark BTC
- Spark BTC → BTC

Enter the amount and click the Convert button.

1. Open the BTC token details page in your Portfolio.
2. You’ll see your balances for both BTC and Spark BTC.
3. Tap Convert to open the conversion modal.
4. Select the direction:
 - BTC → Spark BTC
 - Spark BTC → BTC
5. Enter the amount and click the Convert button.

⚡ Spark BTC will appear in your balance once the conversion transaction confirms on the Spark chain. ⚡ It is possible that BTC → Spark BTC conversion transactions can fail but your funds will be refunded.

Go to the BTC token details page and select Send.

Enter the recipient’s Spark BTC address.

1. Go to the BTC token details page and select Send.
2. Choose Spark BTC as the asset.
3. Enter the recipient’s Spark BTC address.
4. Input the amount you want to send.
5. Review the details and tap Send.

💡 If a transfer is taking a long time to complete, the Receiver may need to open their wallet to "claim the transfer". This is done automatically when they open their wallet.

To receive Spark BTC into your Magic Eden wallet:

Share this address or QR code with the sender.

1. Open the BTC token details page.
2. Tap Receive.
3. Choose Spark BTC.
4. A QR code and Spark address will appear.
5. Share this address or QR code with the sender.

Once the transaction is confirmed on the Spark network, your Spark BTC balance will update.

Your Spark BTC address is accessible on the Receive modal.

From the Portfolio, tap Receive.

1. From the Portfolio, tap Receive.
2. Select Spark.
3. Copy the address or scan the QR code.

💡 Use this address only for Spark BTC. Sending non-Spark BTC to it may result in lost funds.

Spark BTC is integrated directly into the BTC details page.
